On August 7, 2005 the Mt. Gilead family celebrated the grand opening of its Gourmet Kitchen. To the casual observer, it might appear to be just another accomplishment, but to those who understand what it means to trust God for resources to build a debt-free, state-of-the-art kitchen -- it is truly a reason to give God praise!

The opening of the kitchen is also significant because it serves as a testimony of what God can do when you dare to put your faith and confidence in Him. After worshipping in a school for over three years and hosting special events at venues all over the Richmond area, the ministry is now strategically positioned to not just be blessed, but to be a blessing!

While the kitchen opened in August, the vision was imparted into the heart of Bishop Robertson over 30 years ago. As a child, he spent countless hours watching his father, the late Daniel Robertson, Sr., used his culinary talents to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. A skilled commercial Chef, Daniel Sr., had a heart for serving others and a flare for adding his unique touch to every recipe. Now that legacy of cooking and serving others lives on in the life of Bishop Robertson and the Gourmet Kitchen.

With warm tones of gold and beige, the Mt. Gilead Gourmet Kitchen has a décor that brings the warmth of home combined with the efficiency of a commercial kitchen. This state of the art facility was designed strategically to accommodate food service for large events or intimate dinning situations.

The Gourmet Kitchen will be used to prepare meals for home missions, banquet dinning, special events and contract services. It is our vision to use the kitchen as another resource to do as our motto states, “Change Lives with the Word of God”. Additional features of the kitchen include:
