The 2012 Women of the Word, affectionately known as WOW is back with a dynamic conference on March 29th – 31st at Mt. Gilead FGIM.  Reaching women of all ages, the theme for the 2012 WOW Conference is “Women Overcoming the World.” Conference participants will receive powerful ministry on what it means to be a world overcomer.

For some, overcoming the world translates into a passion for local and domestic missions; taking territories for the Kingdom of God.  There are others who are challenged with a personal struggle and are in need of deliverance by the One who promises to set the captives free.  We are all accountable for overcoming the world of our daily responsibilities at home, work, church, as an entrepreneur, and the many other hats women wear every day.  No matter the problem or the circumstance, we are assured that we will “overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony “(Revelation 12:11).

Come and receive an impartation from real women addressing real issues.  If you’ve grown weary of the status quo and you’re seeking God for the tools you need to excel, then this conference is for you!  It’s a time of empowerment, affirmation, and encouragement to become the Overcomers God has called us to be! Early Bird registration begins January 1st.  Tell a friend and make plans to join us.

Registration ends March 25th

At the door: $50 per person

One day only: $30 per person

Pastor Rose Jarvis - Rose Jarvis Ministries

Born in Greenport, Long Island, New York to the late James P. and Shirley A. Cosby Carpenter, Rose is married to Richard L. Jarvis of Gloucester, VA.  God has blessed their union with two girls, LaToya & Felicia.  Although Rose is the founder of two non-profit organizations, author of four books, recipient of many awards and currently working on her PhD, she does not want to be remembered by her accomplishments but wants to be remembered as one who loved.

More than nineteen hundred years ago, there was a man born contrary to the laws of life.  He received no formal education and never possessed wealth or wide-spread influence.  He never traveled extensively, he only once crossed the boundary of the country in which He lived, yet this man’s life has changed the course of history.  In infancy, He startled a king; in childhood, He puzzled doctors; in manhood, He ruled the course of nature, walked upon the waves, and hushed the sea to sleep. He healed the multitudes without medicine and made no charge for His services.  He never wrote a book, yet His life has inspired more books than any other man.  He never wrote a song, yet He has furnished the theme for more songs than all song writers combined.  He never founded a college but all the schools put together cannot boast of having as many students.  He never practiced psychiatry, yet He has healed more broken hearts than all the doctors far and near.  Though time has spread nineteen hundred years between the people of this generation and His birth, He still lives.  His enemies could not destroy Him and the grave could not hold Him.  This man stands forth upon the highest pinnacle of heavenly glory proclaimed of God, acknowledged by angels, adored by His people, and feared by demons.  God has given him a name which is above every name, that at His name every knee should bow and every tongue should confess and guess what?  He never wrote a biography about His self.  I choose to follow in His footsteps.  To God be all the glory for the things He has done in my life.
