Speakers
Bishop
Daniel Robertson, Jr.
Bishop Daniel
Robertson, Jr. is known as an energetic communicator who has
been anointed to convey
the powerful and practical truths of
God’s word to audiences of all ages. A native of Chesapeake,
Virginia, Bishop Robertson began to exhibit exceptional athletic ability
and was offered a four-year football scholarship to James Madison University
(JMU), located in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
He graduated from JMU with a Bachelor of Science degree and soon after
enrolled in the Medical College of Virginia (MCV), where he obtained
a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. He later received a Masters
of Divinity degree at Virginia Union University, graduating Magna Cum
Laude.
Bishop Robertson currently serves
as the Senior Pastor of Mt. Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries
located
in Richmond, Virginia.
He was consecrated into the Episcopal office of Bishop in November
of 2003. His visionary leadership has taken the congregation from
a membership of 25, to over 6,000 in a little over twelve years.
As one of Chesterfield, Virginia’s fastest growing churches,
Mt. Gilead recently moved to its new facility on 79 acres of Promise
Land. While the world economy is facing tremendous challenges, the
Lord has revealed that this is the season for the wealth transfer.
Using the theme, “Pursuing, Advancing, and Taking Territory,” Mt.
Gilead continues to acquire land to follow the vision of “Building
A City to Reach the World”. A state-of-the-art gymnasium/youth
zone/multi–purpose center is currently under construction and
more development is planned in the years ahead.
In addition to his assignment as
a pastor, leader, and innovator, Bishop Robertson is an accomplished
writer
and author of four best
selling books on leadership. The first, “Plug In”, is
a practical guide for pastors, church leaders and businesses followed
by his recently released book, “Coaching: A Kingdom Agenda,” which
is an excellent resource for developing leaders and building a strong
organization. His third book, Plug In II, is a continuation of the
blessings of divine connection with actual stories of how this principal
manifested in the life of Bishop Robertson as well as the ministry
at large. In his recent release, “Fit for a King” is
a practical guide to excellence that will equip the Kingdom to honor
God through exceptional ministry. Bridging the gap between the generations,
Bishop Robertson’s latest release entitled “Nothin’ But
The Truth” makes a conscious attempt to reach the young and
the young at heart with the Word of God on CD.
Passion, conviction, and clarity are three words that appropriately
describe the ministry of Bishop Robertson. He is a man who is committed
and anointed to change lives with the Word of God. Bishop Robertson
and his wife, Co-Pastor Elena Robertson, are the blessed parents
of three children: Daniel III, Charity Joy, and David Jeremiah.
